Michelle is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) with a passion for bringing her experience and service-oriented approach to organizations that create lasting impact within their communities.

A graduate of Iowa State University, she spent her first 14 years in event planning and management, learning how to bring people, ideas, and missions together. For the past decade, Michelle has worked in the association and nonprofit space, with a dedicated focus on health care communities. She has served in leadership roles including Executive Director and Operations Director, and has strategically led key organizational areas such as membership, strategic alliances, and finance.

Michelle lives in Ankeny, Iowa, with her husband, two children, and dog, Winnie. She enjoys watching her daughter dance and her son umpire baseball. The Dekker family are enthusiastic fans of the Iowa State Cyclones, the Boston Red Sox, northern Michigan, and all things Disney.
